Job Title: Physics and Maths Tutor (Discord)

Job Overview: We are seeking an enthusiastic, patient, and knowledgeable Physics and Maths [Pre University Level] tutor to join our team and provide exceptional guidance and support to our learners on Discord. The ideal candidate will be able to break down complex concepts into simple, easy-to-understand explanations tailored for a 5-year-old's level of comprehension. This individual must be committed to timely communication and be able to respond to queries within 4 hours of receiving them on Discord.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with learners on Discord to provide assistance with Physics and Maths questions
  • Break down complex concepts into simple, easy-to-understand explanations tailored for a 5-year-old's level of comprehension
  • Respond to learner queries within 4 hours of receiving them on Discord
  • Foster a positive, supportive, and inclusive learning environment
  • Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback to help them grow and improve
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in Physics and Maths to maintain subject-matter expertise

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Physics, Maths (Preferred)
  • Previous tutoring or teaching experience, preferably in Physics and/or Maths
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to simplify complex concepts for learners of all ages and skill levels
  • Familiarity with Discord and its features
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote, online setting
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
  • Patient, empathetic, and approachable demeanour
